Take life into your own hands

There was this girl named Ginger. She worked at Home Depot and just finished her first year of college, and everything was going fine. Summer was in the air and she was just enjoying freedom from school. Along came Nate, a soon to be senior in college that was home for the summer. Ginger and Nate met at work and there were sparks there.

They flirted every time that they worked together. Ginger’s original thought of Nate was that he was really hot. And he showed interest in her! This is perfect. After a while she added him on facebook, and then with some convincing of her best friend, Kim, she texted him. (His number was on facebook, it was fair game.) So they started texting a lot. Nate invited Ginger to go for a ride on his motorcycle when he got back from seeing his sister in California.

They went for a motorcycle ride. Then they went on more dates. Quickly they were acting like a couple, and everything seemed like it would turn out alright. Things progressed physically for this “couple.” It got to a point where Ginger had experienced many firsts… She was concerned with just being a summer whore to him, and she shared those concerns. Nate talked her out of those thoughts.

One night that Ginger’s parents were not home she had Kim, Nate, and her friend Dan over to watch movies. Kim was in bed, Dan already left, and Ginger and Nate were by her front door talking. He told Ginger that he would make her his girlfriend but he couldn’t control himself at school when he would drink and party. Nate told Ginger that he cared for her. Her response? “Apparently not that much.” He replied back with that he really did care about her, and didn’t want to hurt Ginger by his antics when he partied when he went back to school.

In Ginger’s head she was screaming “YOU’RE NOT EVEN GOING TO PUT EFFORT INTO THIS?!” She never voiced this to him though. Maybe that is where she went wrong….

The next day Ginger and Nate hung out. He went with her to her college so she could buy her books. He carried them. Such a gentleman right? When they got back to town the two went over to Nate’s house. They watched TV together with his arm around her. After a while Ginger’s allergies to Nate’s cats were acting up, so they went to his room where the cats don’t go.

Ginger wanted to take a nap, but Nate had other plans. He wasn’t going to let her sleep. They fooled around….that was nothing new. They had done that stuff before. She expressed her desire not to be a summer whore to him, yet again. Nate said that if he fucked her then she would be a summer whore. Soon that fooling around became more. And that’s how Ginger lost her virginity. Afterwards, Ginger said that now she was a summer whore to Nate. He denied that she was a summer whore, and that this situation was different. How was that a different situation, Ginger thought.

Afterwards Nate was still a nice guy. It only changed after Ginger left his house. He started to be a tool. Then the next day he was even worse. So Ginger really was just his summer whore. She figured out how much of a tool he really was. She proceeded to delete his texts, delete when she called him, delete his number from her phone, and finally she deleted him from her facebook.

A live and learn experience that Ginger would not trade for anything. She only regrets the fact that she did all of this with someone that she was developing feelings for and she meant nothing to him. Other than that, it was just life. Now Ginger is in a weird place because he is still around for two weeks, and she will have to see him at work sometimes.
